J. Hodgens, M.P., for employment in New Zealand.
Mr Hodgens said he was very pleased with tlie response lo the New Zealand Government’s ndverlisement calling for men and he was delighted with the type of tradesmen who applied. Union officials stated that Mr Hodgens would give preference to unionists.
Building trade leaders said if insufficient unionists were offering assistance would be given Mr Hodgens in selecting other artisans.
