Mrs K. P. Tompkins, New Ply mouth, spent the week-end in Ham fltoo.
Mrs M. G. Masefield, Auckland, is the guest of her daughter, Mrs U B. Seabrook, Hamilton.
Miss Zoe Holmes and Miss Joyce Edwards, Hamilton, leave to-day foi a holiday trip to Australia.
Miss G. Freeman, Hamilton, wh was spending a few days with Mr L. Kelly, Hawera, has returned.
The skating champion, Miss Megan Taylor, has left London on a tour of Australia, New Zealand and South Africa, states a cablegram.
Mrs A. L. Furness has returned to Te Awarnutu alter visiting Palmerston North.
Mrs A. Grosset has returned t Hamilton after a holiday spent at th Mount, Tauranga.
Mrs S. \V. Davis, Hamilton, is spend ing a few days in Auckland.
Mrs A. C. Cooper and Misse Margery and .loan Cooper, Wailetuna. spent the week-end as the guest of Mrs Harold Cooper, Kerautra Auckland.
Miss Millie Davis. Hamilton, returned to her home during the weekend, after a holiday spent at the Mount, Tauranga.
Miss Gladys Tompkins, formerly of
Hamilton, will leave Patea to-day, where she has been Plunket nurse for a number of years for New Plymouth. She will take a three weeks’ refresher course at the New Plymouth Hospital, prior to leaving next month for Sydney and the East.
Mrs G. \V. Perrett, nee Miss Ivy Hodder, one of Wanganui's leading sopranos, will leave next Saturday for Melbourne, where she intends to further her studies. Mrs Perrett will he accompanied by her mother, Mrs R. Hodder, of Auckland.
Their Royal Highnesses the Duke and Duchess of Kent have, through their private secretaries, informed Miss Rosemary Rees that they will have much pleasure in accepting a copy of two or her books, "My New Zealand Holiday” and “Sing a Song o’ Sydney,” states a London correspondent. For her coming novel, now nearing completion, Miss Rees has divided the setting between London and Sussex. Rvburn is leaving for Raglan Mrs N'ewdick, who was the guest of Mrs c. B;iker, has returned to Otahuhu. Mrs„C. Reid has returned from a visit to Upotiki. Mrs McGregor will leave for Raglan this week.
