NOTED POLO PLAYER INJURIES PROVE FATAL DEATH IN CALIFORNIA PASADENA (Cal ), Feb. 21 Captain Pat Roark, the noted British Polo player, who suffered a severe injury to the brain when a pony stumbled and rolled on him, has died. PROFESSIONAL GOLF TITLES HAMILTON PLAYER’S ROUND ROTORUA, Wednesday When the professional golf championships opened at Rotorua to-day the best round was played this morning by J. Weir (Auckland) with a nett 67Weir was in excellent form, carding a gross score of 68. G. H. Melvin, the Hamilton professional, played good golf, also, obtaining a nett score of 74.
