INTERMEDIATE SCHOOL
PROPOSAL AT PUTARURU (Special to Times) PUT AH LRU. Saturday Delegates from Lichfield, Tokoroa. Arapuni. Te W'lietu, Hodderville and Tepapa were present at a meeting or the PutaruruIntermediate School Committee which lias been set up in an endeavour to secure the establishment at Putaruru oi' an intermediate school. Mr C. C. Neal, Putaruru, presided. J Mr Neal reported that a sub-committee had inspected proposed sites and had deI elded on a section of 20 acres near the J Oraka Stream about a mile from the town An access road away from the main road could be built without difficulty. The committee had hoped that the Minister or Education, the Hon. P. Fraser, would be visiting Putaruru shortly after the new year, said the secretary, Mr A. C. Anderson. The Minister had paid a visit, hut it was purely a holiday one. Following that, he had sent a letter to him putting the case for the establishment at Putaruru of the school. In reply he had received a telegram suggesting that the committee submit its epresentations in writing, it wa 2 decided to do this, and also to send full particulars ! to the Education Board, Auckland, and also to Mr A. F. Moncur, M.P. for Hot >rua.
