TOTAL OF £1284 Gate returns for the two days of the meeting amounted to £1284 compared with £1249 for the summer meeting last year—an increase of £33. While yesterday's total, £403, was £1 down on the second day last season, £879 was handled at the turnstiles against £843 on the first day of 1938.
