GOLDEN SHEILA ALL THE WAY l LLANGOLLEN'S IMPRESSIVE WIN NORA GREGOR AGAIN Another record meeting was recorded on the Te Rapa course yesterday when the \\ aikato Racing Club s Summer meeting concluded under ideal weather conditions before an excellent attendance for an off day. rhe racing throughout was keenly contested, the chief event, the \ ercoe Handicap, being won from end to end by Golden Sheila and the sprint by the top-weight, Llangollen, who gave a taste of her true worth by hitting the front at the distance and smothering the opposition in characteristic style. Generally the public were well on the mark, although \ al Lu was the only favourite to score on the day. Mio Lume was third fancy in the betting, Ivar fifth selection. Golden Sheila third, Nora Gregor third in order, Gay Rebel fourth and Llangollen in similar demand. In the concluding event Orweie was at a false return in being relegated to third in order of fa\ouritism on either machine. Following are the re.-ulls :

Farland and Royal Bachelor went out five lengths rrom the field at the three-furlong peg, but they stood little chance with the topwright once she had collared them. Farland began smartly as usual and over the first furlong was in charge rr*>m Tosh. Royal Bachelor, Llangollen, Royevrus, J.ornacre. Te Monowai and Royal Vaals.’ Royal Bachelor and Farland sorted themselves out across the top and approaching the turn were five lengths clear of Tosh. Llangollen, Te Monowai. Royal Vaals and Royevru*. with Lomacre Bringing up the rear. Llangollen came through at the distance and. with a sustained run. on to win by a length and a-half from Farland. who heat Royal Bachelor by a head. Te Monowai was only a nose away fourth, with Tosh, lomacre and Royal Vaals next. Time. 1.13.
