MONTHLY SOCIAL
GALEDON’AN SOCIETY Tim monthly social of the Hamilton Caledonian Society was held in the Winter Show Concert Chamber on Saturday evening when the Chief, Mr E. Trevena, presided over a large attendance of members and friends. A welcome was extended to Mr Steele, of Sydney, who lias come to reside in Hamilton and who for many years lias been an active member of pipe bcUids in Sydney. items were rend«d by Miss Lopdell. solos; Miss A. Cameron and .Miss M. GullanH. national dancinp; Miss Bita Anderson, elocution; Mr A. Sperry, bagpipe selection; Mr Henderson, magic and ventriloquism; Mr
Salmon, humour and piano-accordion selections: and Miss Jean McLnchlan, violin. Selections were played by M cl. a chlan's Orchestra and the Society's Pipe Band. After supper old-lime dancing wa< enjoyed, music being played by < rit* 1,ley's Orchestra. The singing of Auld Lang S>ne brought a successful evenins to a close.
