WAIKATO SUCCESSES FRANKLIN FIXTURE ENDS (Special to Times) PUKEKOHE, Saturday With gate takings over the two days amounting to £777 and an estimated attendance of 14,000, the 54th annual show of the Franklin Agricultural and Pastoral Society, which concluded today, was a record one for the society. The gate receipts were approximately £2OO greater than at any previous show. Following were to-day's championship awards: Blood Stock Mare.—W. Hoskings. Harness Horse.—E. Martyn Wright’s Royal. Hack.—Mrs D. Gorrie’s King- Neptune. Harness Pony, 12 hands or over.—J. J. Hoe’s Sailor. Harness Pony, under 12 hands.—Mrs V. Nutsford’s Don Bradman.

Saddle Pony, 12 hands or over.—R. Millen’s O.K.

saddle Pony, under 12 hands.—Joan Pleydell’s Snowy.

Hunter. —A. Walker's Cavalcade. Children’s Agricultural Clubs- Calf.—R. Carter’s; reserve, Pat. Pope’s. Sow. 3 to 14 months, any breed.—A. T. Rogers’ Berkshire, Mountley Pleasant Shirley Ist; reserve, W. Massey and Son’s Large White. Mahora Bright Star.

Tamworths.—Boar: A. T. Rogers’ Berkswell Up-to-date; reserve. A. T. Rogers' Mountley Jewel Boy sth. Sow: A. T. Rogers’ Burwen’s Melba 3rd; reserve, Stewart and Kerr’s Parkdale C"ieen 4th.
