ROTORUA TOURNAMENT CONTEST OPENS NEXT WEEK (Special to Time?; ROTORUA, Saturday A record entry of 39 players has teen received for the £.rinua] Now Zealand golf professionals’ toura.Tment, which will be held at the Arikikapakapa course next weeK. starting on Wednesday and closing on Friday. Included in the programme is the Rotorua Provincial championship over 72 holes of medal play, the first round of which \\:il commence on Thursday morning. The winner will receive the M. Houlihan Cup and also a stake of £75, while prizes totalling £3O are offered for each of the morning and afternoon rounds.

The winner of the championship at Invercargill last year was A. Murray, of Auckland, who played brilliant golf over the final round to defeat T. i. Galloway, then of Auckland and now professional to the Rotorua Club. Both Murray and Galloway are again entered, as also are E. S. Douglas, A. Guy and B. J.
