Brawl In City A constable was the centre of an antagonistic crowd of people near the Civic Square, Auckland shortly after 10 last night following his attempt to break up a fight between two youijg men. Race Crowds in Town With this morning fine Victoria Street was thronged with vehicular traffic and a dense crowd of pedestrians. Indication:; were that racing at Te Rapa would be as popular as ever and from about 10 o'clock the traffic started to llow towards the course. Matamata High Bchool The Matamata District High School began the year with record enrolments in the secondary department, the present number of pupils being 227.
