SHERRY PARTY
FOR MISS KOA TOMPKINS Mrs Lance Tompkins was hostess recently at her home in Victoria Street, •at a jolly sherry party for Miss Koa Tompkins, who leaves next week for Sydney, where she will marry Mr K. Hucnerbcin early in April. The rooms were gay with golden-shaded gladioli and dahlias and the guests spent a very happy hour. Mrs Tompkins vias wearing a frock of multi-coloured sheer and the guest-of-honour was dressed in a navy georgette frock with white jabot and a small navy straw hat. Those present were : —Mesdames C. B. Wake, D. B. de Latour. St. L. H. Gribben, Tony Firth, E. H. Grocott, A. S. McKenzie, R. Worley, Ted Firth, R. G. Phillips-Turner, E. C. Day, Murray Austin (Te Kauwhata), Misses Gladys Wyatt, Fran Jolly, Kath Wilson, Vi Jolly, Mary Beale.
