MATANGI CROQUET CLUB

At a largely attended meeting at Matangi recently, it was decided to form a croquet club in Matangi. The following officers were elected: President, Mrs Allwood; vice-presid-ents, Mesdames H. Windsor and Wainwright; secretary, Mrs A. McClennan; treasurer. Mrs C. L. French; committee, Mesdames McKendry, Ellice, J. B. Taylor, T. Shaw and R. Taylor. A trophy has been donated by Mr Ellice for the player showing the most improvement this season. The opening day was arranged for Friday, February 24. Afternoon tea concluded the meeting.
