HAMILTON EAST FIXTURE SUCCESSFUL MEETING HELD The annual sports day at the Hamilton East School was held yesterday in the school grounds and proved a great success. Definite promise was shown toy competitors in the championship events, especially in the hoys’ senior, which was'won by R. Watkins with 11 points. J. Keen (9) was second and B. Percy was third. Betty Elliot, with 10 points, won the senior girls’ title, while Kathleen Blaramtoerg (9) was second and Velma Smith (3) third. The junior boys’ title resulted in a win for D. Ilutt, who obtained 9* points, with P. Kirk (8£) second and A. Zander (3) third. Dawn Smith was the successful junior girl, securing nine points, and Thelma Roger (5) and Valerie Mcllwraith 3) were second and third respectively.
