SUICIDE IN THEATRE

DOCTOR POISONS HIMSELF HAD STRANGE OBSESSION (From a Correspondent.) LONDON, Dec. 6. War-wounded Dr. Graham M. Robertson, without a practice since June, was to have taken over one in Bridgwater (.Somerset) to-day. But ho had ' an obsession that people in the streets / poked fun at him, and while a cinema audience were laughing at Will Hay in " Convict 99” he poisoned himself in a seat in the circle. He had taken a hypodermic injection of morphia and hyoscine. His pretty widow told the Coroner j of his abnormality at the inquest, \ when a verdict was returned of "Death j from poison, self-administered while the balance of his mind was disturbed.” A note Dr. Robertson had written was not read in Court. "It throws no light on why he did it.” said the CorDr. Robertson was forty-two years | old. He used to practise in Westcliff- ; on-Sea.
