IVIABTERS OF COASTAL VESSELS (By Telegraph.—Special to Tlmea) WELLINGTON, Friday The hearing of an application for an award covering masters and officers of coastal vessels occupied the Arbitration Court to-day. Applicants claimed that they were entitled to increased wages, because in some cases the masters received less than other employees and altered conditions made the duties more exacting. The shipowners opposed the increased wages since the masters’ wages had been increased and the hours Educed by the last award.
