TARANAKI TOUR

WAIKATO BOWLERS STRONG PARTY GOING On February 26 a party of 73 Waikato bowlers will be leaving Hamilton for a tour of the Taranaki district, where they will be engaged in matches with New Plymouth and suburban bowling clubs. Many will be accompanied by their wives, the total strength of the party being 101. The number in the party probably constitues a record for the Waikato. The tour, which will be under the auspices of the South Auckland Bowling Centre will be undertaken with motor-cars and the organisation work has proved no light task. The programme will allow’ members to engage in sightseeing for there has been no desire to make the tour a strenuous one. The party will return to Hamilton on March 4.
