HAPPINESS OF SCHOOLCHILDREN j SUPPLEMENT WITH THIS ISSUE | The great event of the year, as far I as the Waikato is concerned —namely, | the Waikato Winter Show —is not far j distant when the vast preparations are j taken into consideration, and Ihe many | classes which take the exhibitors | weeks of preparation are to-day published in the accompanying special supplement. A glance at the front page of this supplement will bring to the reader’s notice the great interest which is being shown by the Waikato Winter Show ! Association in the health and happiness of all schoolchildren, and the association deserves the thanks of ; parents for having prepared and distributed thousands of school luncheon bags, a facsimile of which is produced. The suggestions of suitable foods which are printed on these bags art* proving a blessing to many mothers, who often have wondered what they could advantageously give to their children for lunch as a change from their usual diet. Attractive Sections Within the pages of the supplement the various school classes will be found and particulars relating to the Women's | Institute courts are also featured. The Sunday School section and the art and photographic classes arc published, together with the piping and national dancing competitions. These always draw many entries from a very wide area. ! In addition to the above classes. ; readers will find attractive advertisements, all of which are worthy of ■ careful study. j Intending competitors are urged to ' retain this special supplement and to send in their entry form on or before , the closing date.
