SAVILE CUP POLO
FEILDINQ TOURNAMENT MATANGI TO COMPETE The Matangi Polo Club decided at ) a meeting last evening to send its A ( team to Feilding to contest the Savile j Cup at the New Zealand tournament / which opens on March 20. Although I the question of finance has been some- • what of a problem to the club, the players hope to be able to make satisfactory arrangements. Matangi has held the Savile Cup on one occasion only, that being in 1935 when the trophy was annexed from Hawke's Bay at the tournament at Cambridge. The Matangi team to contest the title this year has not yet been selected. The club hopes to be abls to secure ponies from other polo pfcayers in the Waikato to augment the string which will travel with the team.
