BCROUQH COUNCIL’S ASSISTANCE USE OF MUNICIPAL BATHS A request for the use of the municipal baths, with services of the custodian, from February 20 to February 25, and from February 27 to March 4, in connection with the national learn to swim campaign, was heard at the meeting of the Borough Council last evening when a letter was received from the National Committee of Swimming and Life Saving. The latter stated that in addition to catering for the children of local schools it was also intended to bring children in from the country schools.

j Another letter asked for a free fill . of tin* following school baths which would be used in connection with the campaign: Hamilton High, Whitiora, Frank ton, and llillcrest.

On the motion of the Mayor, Mr H L>. Caro, both regm-sls were approved
