HEAD OF THE HOUSEHOLD APPOINTMENT FOR AUSTRALIA DUCHESS TO BROADCAST (United Press Assn.—Elec. Tel. Copyright) LONDON, Feb. 15 The 'King has approved of the appointment of his assistant private secretary, Sir Eric Mieville, as temporary head of the Duke of Kent's household in Australia. The Duke of Kent has appointed Sir Eric as his principal secretary as from his departure from England. In addition to hearing a broadcast of the King's launching of the battleship King George V. at 0.35 a.m. (Greenwich mean time) on February 22, Australia and New Zealand for the first time will have an opportunity of hearing the Duchess of Kent on the air on March 7, when she will launch the Royal Mail liner Andes at 11.15 a.m. (Greenwich mean time).
