BURNS NIGHT Characteristic of a trim Scottish gathering with cairngorms flashing, the vivid tartans of swinging kilts and the stirring skirl of the pipes, “ Burns Night,” held by the Cambridge Caledonian Society at the Town Hall, proved a successful function for Die large crowd present. Visitors came from far and near, and many clans were represented in the gathering. During supper, complete with traditional haggis, Chief J. A. Wallace proposed the toast of “The Lassies,” who were responsible for this important side of the function. Among those present were:—Mesdames Edgar James, J. D. Wallace. F. Kingsford. W. A.
