MORRINSVILLE RAIVI FAIR The Farmers’ Co-operative Auctioneering Company, Limited, held their annual Morrinsville ram fair on Wednesday, when an entry of upwards of 750 rams, comprising mostly Southdowns, was submitted. The entry included annual drafts from wellknown local and southern breeders and met a good reception from a representative attendance of buyers. Southdown rams, well-grown and in good condition, were well sought and sold readily up to last year's prices, while small and inferior sold at rates showing an advance on those received in previous years. The top price in Southdowns was secured by Mr Thos. Lupton, of Waver ley, for a pen of well-grown one-shear rams purchased by Mr Angus Gibbons, of Morrinsville, at Mr W. X. Taylor, of Ohaupo, well-known Border Leicester breeder, had an entry of IS which averaged 4£gns. Following are some of the realisations: — On account G. W. Seton, Tirau: 25 rams from sgns. to 6£gns. On account client, ex Masterton: 38 rams from (Ugns. to 8 £gns., averaging about Bgns. On account D. W. Westerna, South Island: 23 rams from oigns. to 7£gns. On account Wilfred jlarbutt, Fencourt: 15 rams from 7gns. to averaging Signs. On account W. S. Germann, Paterangi: 12 rarns from 6gns. to 71gns. On account P. McXaughton, Morrinsville: 20 rams from 3*gns. to 6igns. SHEEP AT OTOROHANGA The Farmers’ Co-operative Auctioneering Company, Limited, report having held their annual sheep fair at Otorohanga on Wednesday, when a large entry of all classes of sheep was penned. Annual drafts from local vendors were penned and met good competition from a large bench of buyers. Bidding for store lambs was exceptionally keen, with values showing an increase on late sales. Store wethers and breeding ewes were traded at values on a par .with those ruling in other centres.
