APPOINTMENTS TO COMMITTEE PROCESSION IN HAMILTON Advice of (he appointment of the following members to the Hamilton district committee under the Physical Welfare Recreation Act, 1037, was received from the Department of Internal Affairs at a meeting of the Borough Council last evening:— Messrs 11. D. Caro, W. Cann, R. McCaw, F. A. Swarbrick (representing the council , Misses M. Mawson and A. Satchell, Dr. 5. de la Mare, Dr. W. R. Fea, and Messrs W. Fraser, C. G. Hunt, J. Ledgerwood, and W. 11. Paul. The letter was received on the motion of the Mayor, Mr H. D. Caro. An application for permission to hold a procession from Knox Street ; to Hineinoa Street, via Victoria Street. ! on February 22 at, 7.15 p.m. was dealt with when a letter was received from Mr C. G. Hunt, on behalf of the Hamilton Fitness Week Committee. The procession would consist mainly of pedestrians and would not be of any great length. If the weather were too wet to hold the sports meeting and procession oil February 22 it was proposed to hold the two events on February 23. The application was granted.
