CYRANO AT LONG ODDS SURPRISE AT EPSOM HAMILTON PACER’S SUCCESS The sensational win return of over a century by Cyrano in the concluding event was the outstanding feature of the second and concluding day's racing of the Auckland Trotting Club’s meeting et Alexandra Park, Epsom, yesterday. Following his mediocre showing on the first day Cyrano was supported only by a very small section and his much improved showing yesterday caught the public completely unawares. Dick Redmond and Rey Ola, who won the two first events, were both at double figure odds but after and until the sensational triumph of Cyrano, all winners were at cramped returns. Highland Scott, who proved successful In the Great Northern Trotting Stakes, returning his supporters an odds-on price on the win machine. Adversity, Bingen Sun and Bill B. were all at cramped odds, while in the Alexandra Park Handicap, the F. J. Smith double. Sandusky and Bexley Girl, first and second .respectively, paid more for a place than on the win machine. The ] weather was showery for the greater part but the track was in splendid order, notwithstanding . Results:— FAREWELL HANDICAP or £250; Lt., 3.34; 1} miles. B—2—ADVERSITY. Mr A. W.
