Miss E. Menzies, matron of the Waikato Hospital, returns to Hamilton to-day from a holiday spent in Wellington. Mrs L. Hodgson, Te Aroha, has been visiting her sister Mrs J. R. Fitzgerald, Hamilton. • * * • Mrs C. S. Dempster, England is at present in Hamilton. Mrs Dempster’s husband is a player in Sir Julien Cahn's cricket team now touring New Zealand. • • • • Mrs A. English, Hamilton, is spending a holiday touring in the North Island. * • • • Mrs M. S. Campbell, of Hamilton, ■who has been spending a holiday at Russell, is spending a few days at Devonport before returning home. • • • • Mrs F. D. Pinfold, who has been on a motoring holiday in the North, has returned to Hamilton. Mrs F. EifTe has returned to Wellington after a short holiday spent with Mrs W. Bennett, Ngaruawahia. • • * * Miss Helen Heywood will visit Auckland for to-nipht’s performance of the Russian Ballet. Miss N. Sheehan, Hamilton, was a visitor to Raglan during last weekend. « • m m Miss Hazel Johnston, of One Tree Hill, Auckland, has left for a holiday in Hamilton and Rotorua. • * * * Mrs F. G. Seccombe, Hamilton, has returned from a motor tour of the North. • • • • Mrs J. Mills, who has been visiting Ngaruawahia as the guest of Mrs W. Bennett, has returned to Sandringham, Auckland. * * • • To farewell her niece, Miss Phylis Vosper, Cambridge, who leaves shortly to continue her studies in Australia, Mrs Graham Mills was hostess at a tennis and swimming party at her home in Ngahinapouri. Her guests were Misses Alison Mills, Tui Arnbury, June Blundell, Fay Harding, Pat‘ Ambury, Heather Taylor, Molly Brock, Susan Banks and Shirley Arnbury. • • * • A meeting of the ladies’ committee for the Waikato Regimental and Hamilton Municipal Band’s Fair, was held recently to discuss arrangements for the fair which is to be held towards the end of March. It is intended to hold dancing and other competitions and to run various stalls. Members of the ladies’ committee are: Mesdames J. R. Fow, A. E. Safage, A. Waterson, D. I. Gate, A. Redman, Adams, G. E. Wilkes, V. Crowhurst, J. Jamieson, J. Old, J. A. Thomas, A. Williams, E. Worth and Misses G. and J. Redman. • • • • Player-manager of the first English women's cricket team to visit Australia and New Zealand in 1934-35, Miss H. E. Green arrived in Sydney last week by the Orcades. She is on her way to New Zealand to take up an appointment as sports mistress at a Wellington girls’ school. Miss preen was on the County Education Board in Derbyshire, England. TE KAWA Mrs J. W. Smyth, Auckland, is spending a holiday with her daughter, Mrs C. A. McLean, Te Kawa. * * * * Mrs H.
