THE ROYAL FAMILY

RETURN TO LONDON KING TO VISIT FACTORIES THE KENTS’ TOURS (United Press Assn.—Elec. Tel. Cepyrtg-bt) LONDON. Feb. 13 The King and Queen have returned to Buckingham Palace from Windsor. His Majesty will visit the Royal ordnance factory at Chorley, Lancashire, on March 14. He may also visit aircraft factories in and around Manchester on the same day. The Duke and Duchess of Kent will make inter-State tours in Australia, each of three months, in 1940 and 1941. They wish, when touring, to leave the beaten track and explore Australia’s by-ways, notably the tropical coast of Queensland. The liner suite for the Duke and Duchess, includes three double staterooms, one for the Duke, the Duchess and the children, with a private sit-ting-room and dining-room. The ship will leave England in the middle of October, but some of the staff will travel by an earlier ship and rejoin the Duke and Duchess at Adelaide, with the latest information in connection with their programme. The selection of the Duke’s Aides-de-camp is the subject of long discussions. “ There is a list of eligible men as long as your arm," a friend of the Duke said. Tlie Duke will shortly join the Duchess in Greece, after which they will embark on a holiday cruise.
