BPECIAL FORECAST (By Government Meteorologist) The special rorecast by the Government Meteorologist, covering the Waikato-Thames Valley Is as follows: General situation: A deep depression passed rapidly across the South Island last night and an anti-cvclone Is advancing rrom south-eastern Australia on to the Tasman Sea. Forecast: Moderate to strong south-westerly winds rising to gale Torce in a Tew exposed positions but decreasing tomorrow. Weather cool and changeable with showers at first in many places but improving. Seas rough on the west coast, moderate to rather rough on the east.
