MAB6EB CELEBRATED OBSERVANCES IN HAMILTON Prayers for the repose of the sou! of the late Pope Pius XI were offered up in Catholic Churches !n Hamilton this morning when Requiem Masses were celebrated in the Church of Our Lady of the Rosary, Hamilton East, and St. Columba's Church, Frankton. The celebrant at the Church of Our Lady of the Rosary was the Rev. Father Hayes, the deacon being the Rev. Father Ryan and the sub-deacon the Rev. Father Bleaklev. The plain chant requiem was sung by the choir. There was a large congregation, including the pupils of St. Mary’s Convent and the Marist Brothers’* School. The Mass at St. Columba’s was celebrated by the Rev. Father O’Connor Pontifical Requiem Mass will be sung at St. Patrick's Cathedral, Auckland, to-morrow morning when the Mayor of Auckland, Sir Ernest Davie, will he present in his official rapacity. Members of the Consular Corps and representative officials have been invited to attend.

Bishop Liston received cabled advice from Sydney yesterday that Pontifical Requiem .Mass will be celebrated at St. Mary’s Cathedral to-morrow morning. His Excellency the Apostollo Delegate to Australia and New Zealand, Archbishop Panico, will be the celebrant.
