Copyright) LONDON, Feb. 12 Four people were killed when • single-seater Royal Air Force fighter, flying in a dense fog, stalled over Brighton, circled above the housetops, struck a demolished greenhouse dived across a garden, losing a wheel, and Imbedded itself in a house containing four flats. Thr petrol tank exploded and set fire to the aeroplane and the building, sfter which firemen worked for H hours before they were able to extricate the bodies of the airman, Sergeant William Rruen. Mrs R. L. Baignet, who was cooking lunch, and her boy and girl, who had been playing: with their toys.
Mrs Baigent’s husband, who was absent, has not yet been traced. Ton other occupants of the building were resoued uninjured. The flames precluded the saving of Mrs Balgont and her children.
