OAT-FLOUR BREAD
BETTER THAN WHEATEN AN IMPORTANT DISCOVERY (United Press Assn.—Elec. Tel. Copyright) (Received Feb. li. 9.30 a.m.) LONDON, Feb. 10 The Swansea Technical College claims to have produced on a commercially sound basis a wheatless bread. It is made from oat flour, and is believed to have a higher food value. As oats grow better than wheat hi England and Scotland, and the other ingredients (sugar and gluten) can easily be stored, it is claimed that Britain can be made entirely jndepen dent of imported wheat in a time of emergency.
