Recently at Birmingham Assizes a ; defendant was found guilty in these circumstances and sentenced to three months’ imprisonment. On appeal, however, the Lord Ch'ief Justice and his fellow-judges held that the verdict 1 should have been interpreted as one of not guilty and the defendant acquitted. While it is certain that the ruling legal authorities are investigating the before announcing how far it may be presumed to apply to motoring offences of a similar nature. The rule of the road is to bo changed from ‘Keep to the Left” to • Keep to the Right.” The only ••lefthanded” countries in Europe now are I Great Britain. Sweden, and Hungary.
