Copyright) (Received Feb. 10, 3.15 p.m.) LONDON, Feb. 9 The following are the Bank of England returns for the current week:— Issue Department—Notes in circulation, £475,000,000; notes in banking department, £51,400,000; other Government securities, £388,600,000; other securities, £100,000; silver coin, £300,000. Banking Department—Proprietors’ capital,-£14,500,000; rest, £3,600,000; public deposits, £15,400,000; bankers’ deposits, £103,900,000; other accounts, £35,500,000; Government securities, £77,600.000; discounts and advances, £20.600,000; other securities, £22,400,000; notes and coin, £52,300,000. Ratio of reserve to liabilities 33.79 per cent. The Bank of England discount rate remains unchanged at 2 per cent.
