ARAB OEMANDS LONDON, Feb, 3 At to-night’s conference at St. dames’ Palace the Arab case was opened by Jamal Husseini, a cousin of the Grand Mufti, in a concise 20 minute statement. The News-Chronicle says he asked Britain to abandon the attempt to establish a Jewish national home, abrogate the mandate and substitute an Anglo-Palesiinian treaty similar to the Anglo-lraq treaty. He also demanded the cessation of Jewish immigration, and land sales to Jews. He declared that Palestine already had a larger population than it could support. TRAIN BLOCKS CROSSING VICTORIA STREET HOLD-UP A burst hose on a Westinghouse braking system halted the Taneatua express on the Victoria Street railway crossing this afternoon, holding up traffic for some minutes. While the dedefective part was being replaced two lines of traffic formed up on the northern side of the crossing and the traffic on the southern end extended to the Hamilton Library.
