PLUNKET SOCIETY
TE AWAMUTU BRANCH The first meeting in the present year of the Te Awamutu branch of Ihe Plunket Society was held in the Borough Council office when the president, Mrs 11. A. Swarbrick, occupied the chair. The following members were present:—Mesdames R. G. Andrew, H. G, ft. Gonnal, D. Bcikett, S. Broadbent, C. O. Edmonds, K. N fliskens, S. C. B. Macky, N. Goodall, J. •Oliphant, J. C. Self, A. H. Storey, B. J. Neilson, and W. McKenzie. Apologies for unavoidable absence were received from Mesdames O. M. Coverdale, W. P. Locke, O. O'Brien, W. G, Parker, J. B. \V. Boberton, and H. E. Roberts. The nurse's report showed 23 new new cases, visits to homes, 25; visits to rpoms, adults 252, babies 229, pre-school children 05, total 571. Telephone calls numbered 62. It was decided to hold a Paddy's market on Thursday, March 23. The month’s box donations amounted to £5 7s 9d.
