600 ON ROLL
HAMILTON TECHNICAL SCHOOL • ACCOMMODATION PROBLEM In submitting his report to a meeting of the Hamilton Technical School Board of Managers last evening, the principal, Mr W. Fraser, stated that the school had opened with a record first-day attendance, and it seemed certain that the roll would reach 600. Over 590 pupils had attended the school that day. "We are going to be faced with the same difficulties as last year,” commented the chairman, Mr C. Nisbet. "The lack of accommodation will be more acute than ever, particularly in view of the fact that we are committed to the introduction of new classes. Some schools seem to be badly treated while others appear to be more fortunate.” Other members of the board expressed the view that the question of the amalgamation of the Technical College and the Hamilton High School was delaying any action that otherwise might be taken in regard to the accommodation problem.
