SENTENCED TO PRISON
CONVERSION OF CARS “THE ONLY WAY’’ (By Te’egraph.—Press Association) WELLINGTON, Wednesday. “The imposition of terms of imprisonment is the only way to put down the unlawful conversion of motor vehicles," said Mr J. L. Stout, S.M., when sentencing Maurice Arman Kjar (22), a lorry driver, and Douglas PalIridge (27), a steward, to one month’s imprisonment on each of two charges of conversion. The sentences were ordered to be concurrent.
