Miss Margot Beale, Hamilton, who has recently returned from a trip abroad, left on Tuesday for Auckland, where she is a member of the teaching staff of St. Cuthbert's College. Miss Anna Johansen, Hamilton, was a visitor to Auckland recently to attend the Russian Ballet season. • * * * Mrs A. W. Mapp, Stratford, has been visiting Mrs C. Mapp, Walton. * * * * Miss Elspeth McNicol, formerly physical instructress at St. Cuthbert's College, Auckland, is now acting in that capacity at the Hamilton High School. • * • • Miss Nola Smith and Miss Norma Mapp, Stratford, have been the guest of Mrs L. Mapp, Walton. • * * • Mesdames Henry and Sylvia, of Waikino, are competing in the South Auckland croquet tournament. • * * • Miss E. Madeley, of the Hamilton Technical School stall, has returned home from New Plymouth. • • • • Mrs H. J. Webber, Cambridge, is visiting Hawke's Bay. * * * • Miss Clare McKinley, who has been spending the vacation in Hamilton, has returned to Auckland to resume her duties at St. Cuthbert's College. Visitors from Auckland for the South Auckland croquet tournament are Mesdames Hardley, Hilton, Dearlove, Dukes and Brier. • • • • Mrs W. Locke, Cambridge, is spending a holiday in Dannevirke. Mrs E. Walders has returned from a holiday in the South Island. • * * * Miss Ailsa Wilson, of the Auckland j Diocesan School staff, has returned to Auckland from a holiday spent in Hamilton. • • • • Miss Stephenson, who has been visiting Hamilton, has returned to Auckland. • * * • Mesdames Goodall, Oates, Loveridge, Griffin, Goebel, Schioler and Lansdown are the Matamata players at present visiting Hamilton for the croquet tournament. CAMBRIDGE Mrs Bullard, Whakatane, has been the guest of her sister, Mrs A. J. Law. • * • • Mrs S. Lewis and family, who have been spending the school vacation at their beach residence at Narrow Neck, have returned to Cambridge. • • * * Mrs Alan Willis has returned after spending a holiday at Takapuna, Mrs S. * Armstrong, who has been visiting relatives at Wanganui and Rata, has returned. Mrs W. Maberly is a visitor to Auckland. Mrs W. H. Hicks is visiting relatives at Remuera. * * * • Miss Mary Hicks, of Maungatautari. has returned home after holidaying at Waiheke Island. • • Miss Isabel Meeking is visiting Auckland. • % * * Mrs Bruce Bromwich has left for a holiday at Auckland. Mrs T. Worthing, who has been holidaying at Waihi Beach, has returned. • * * • Mrs Boston Couper and Miss Joan Couper are spending a holiday at Takapuna. Mrs R. L. James, who has been visiting Mrs J. Searle, has sailed on the Awatea en route to England.
