TE AROHA SHOW
MEETING OF ASSOCIATION (Special to Times) TE AROHA Monday. Mr W. A Clark presided at the meeting of the executive of the Thames Valley Agricultural and Pastoral Association. There was a large attendance. The secretary, Mr T. S. Townsend, read a statement showing that at the end of the year he anticipated showing a credit or £too, providing that he collected £3OO in subscriptions. Last year the sum or £275 was collected under this heading, and he considered there was every chance of finding the amount mentioned. A lejigthy discussion ensued relative to the decision to pay out prize-money on shed exhibits according to the rules where amounts could be reduced, where only two entries or less were received. It was decided to adhere to the previous decision. A motion by Mr V. G. Hamilton that it be a recommendation to the incoming committee that the whole of the shed section in the schedule be revised, embracing classes and prize money, with a view to bringing it more up-to-date, and expanding it where possible on a more liberal basis, was carried.
