LEAGUE TEAM FAREWELLED AUCKLAND CIVIC FUNCTION (By Telegrapn.— Press Association) AUCKLAND, Tuesday. A elvlc farewell was extended in the Town Hall'to-day to Hie New Zealand Buf&v League team, about to leave for Australia. Speakers were the Mayor. Sir Ernest Davis, Mr J. A. Lee. M.P.. president of the Auckland Rugby League. Mr H. C. Cable, of the Association Football Board of Control, and Mr J. A. Redwood, president of the New Zealand Rugby League ar.d co-man-ager of the team. , W. MtKnight, captain, returned thanks and said the team would do its best on and nlf the field.
