May 31 The Northumberland police are investigating the circumstances of the death of Jane .'cott. aged 33, a school teacher, who was on a holiday from < Australia, where she had been employed for 12 years. She arrived in London by the Orontes on April 20. Her body was found in an empty cottage at Chillingham, within 700 yards of her father's farm. She left home last week saying that she was going to Newcastle on a visit to friends. An inquest was adjourned after the body had been identified.
