Semple, to prove or withdraw the statements he was reported to have made at a meeting of National Party supporters at Bulls, did not attend Mr Semple's meetings at Bulls or Wanganui. Mr Semple, in the speeches, replied to the criticisms made by Mr Jenkins. He inspected the TurakinaFordell railway deviation and received deputations on access to up-river settlers. He left to-day for Wellington.
