ACTIVITIES AT KAWHIA KAWHIA. Tuesday At'the annual meeting of the Kawhia Medical Association the secretary, Mr J. N. Cullev, reported that he had interviewed the acting-Minister of Native Affairs, the Hon. F. Langstone, during his recent visit to Kawhia and had asked for a donation from the Department towards the funds of the association. as a large percentage of those in t’ve district were Maoris. Mr I angstone had replied that he was no! in a position to recommend a donation by the Department, but suggested that the difficulty would he overcome when the national health and superannuation scheme was introduced.
