ANGLO-GERMAN NEGOTIATIONS NO OFFER FORTHCOMING (United Press Assn.—Elec. Tel. Copyrlgh LONDON, May 30 The negotiations between Sir Frederick Leith-Ross, chief economic adviser to the British Government, and the German Economic Ministry have disclosed a refusal by Germany in principle to recognise guaranteed Austrian loans as German obligations, says the Berlin correspondent of the Times. This suggests that something might be paid, but no offer Is yet forthcoming. The German officials mentioned several precedents for their attitude, including Britain not accepting responsibility for Boer debts after the South African War; but it can be pointed cut that Germany did not regard tho Austrian union aa a conquest.
