Irvine and Webster, Limited, Hamilton: Barometer Tuesday 29.85 Monday 29-85 Thermometer Max. Min. Sunday 82 55 Monday 63 55 Mean Temperature. 58.5 deg. The barometer reads 29.85 and has a rising tendency. Fair to cloudy weather Is Indicated to-day and to-morrow with mild temperature, scattered showers and northerly winds prevailing. The Rainfall Rainfall for 24 hours ended 9 o'clock this morning. .461 n. Rainfall for previous 48 hours, .241 n. Rainfall for May to date, 4.12!n. Average rainfall for May, 4.631 n. Rainfall for year to date, 20.91 tn. Average yearly rainfall, *6.321n. SPECIAL FORECAST (By Govt. Meteorologist). The special forecast by the Government Meteorologist covering the WaikatoThames Valley Is as follows; Forecast: Moderate southerly to south-westerly winds. Some scattered showers probable but weather mainly fair to cloudy. Temperatures moderate. Seas moderate. General Inference: Pressure Is relatively low over the Dominion. A slight disturbance crossed the Auckland Province last night and a series of shallow westerly depressions continues to pass in the south.
