BETTER FARMING

USE BEST APPLIANCES The tendency to-day is for farmers to concentrate on better farming methods, and farmers cannot do better than inspect the many improved articles offered by Hamilton Implement Works, Limited, London Street (river end), before deciding on their requirements for the latest machinery. This enterprising firm has many new and wonderfully improved implements on offer, and a short walk to their premises in London Street (river end) will repay every visiting farmer. A newly designed Swamp Harrow that is ideally fitted for the bringing in of new ground is one of their many attractions. This harrow has been a very quick seller and users are expressing their satisfaction in its general use. Another implement manufactured by this firm, which is giving first class results is the new “Mole Drain Plough.” This plough is designed for the clearance of surface waters and for draining stiff clay lands. Inquire about them to-day when in for the Show. "The Averis” Patent Plough Wheel will also attract a great deal of interest. The only wheel made with an adjustable axle, this product is well worth inspecting. Smith's Patent Stack Knife, the perfect, cutter for ensilage'and hay. is a product handled by this firm that is rapidly gaining in popularity. Simple, strong and easy to operate, this knife has been found a first-class tool by many farmers, who, dissatisfied with other makes, have reverted hack to a sharp spade. The Hornsby Mower is also another implement that should he closely inspected. This mower is light in draught, and is fitted with an unchokable cutter bar. It is, in. fact, the ideal mower. There are many other lines manufactured by this firm, including a novel and inexpensive hoe which should be in every gardener's possession. Again we say a visit during show week, to the workshop is strongly advised.
