DEVON ART DEPOT

DISPLAY OF PIOTUREB The exhibition of pictures at the Waikato Winter Show is a very popular class but the exhibition of the pictures at the Devon Art Depot in Victoria Street (opp. the Public Trust Office) is in a class of Its own- It is no bold boast to say that more people pause at the window of the Devon Art Depot than at any other window in town and the reason is not far to seek for there, in that window, are some of the finest reproductions and etchings that it is possible to behold. Pictures in beautiful colourings of sea and landscape scenes, etchings of some of the world’s leading cathedrals and some beautifully executed religious pictures meet the eye, whilst some of the wellknown children's fairy tales are conveyed in pictures, and a sprinkling of some of the well,-known proverbs, nicely framed, add a finish to the ever changing window display. The priprietor, who specialises in picture framihg, invites picture lovers and others to step inside his door and examine the further large amount of artists' work which it is impossible to feature in his window. See the Winter. Show by all means —but if you have not got time to visit both the Waikato Winter and the Devon Art Depot shows, decide on the latter and you will not be disappointed
