SOCIAL NOTES
Mrs F. W. Pope, of Hamilton, returned yesterday by the Monterey from a visit to Australia. Mrs J. Ewart, of Wellington, will arrive in Hamilton to-day on a visit to her daughter, Mrs E. N. Yalintine. Mrs Stanley J. Walker, of Hamilton, is on holiday in Wellington and is the guest of Mrs W. Weston of jKelburn. Mrs A. Evans, of Whakaangiangi, East Coast, is visiting her mother, Mrs G- Craig, Morrinsville. Miss M. Wigg, of Auckland, is visiting Hamilton. Mrs W. A. Blair, of Hamilton, will sail from Auckland by the Niagara today for Australia, where she will attend the wedding of her brother, Mr J. Whittington, to Miss Edith Andrews, of Brisbane. • • • * Mr and Mrs Fink, of Hamilton, will leave to-night for Wellington for the celebration of their golden wedding on Friday. They will be the guests of their daughter Mrs Clothier, Ottawa Road, Ngaio. m • • • Miss Nelle M. Scanlan has decided to spend a holiday in New Zealand. She hopes to leave London in July and will see something of South Africa en route, writes a London ‘correspondent.
