H. VEATS
BLACKSMITH, WARD STREET. Time marches on and in this mechanical age changes are occurring d a ily—new inventions are being used not only in the city but on the farm. The motor-driven implement has almost replaced the horse and consequently business conducted primarily for the purpose of shoeing and wheelwrighting have stepped into line to meet the new demand. The smithy’s work has likewise changed with the result that H. Veats (who still makes shoes for racehorses and horses which are still employed by farmers) manufactures and repairs all classes of farming implements. All classes of ironwork are also executed by H. Veats, and in this respect he has no equal. If any of your implements need repairing or a slight adjustment is necessary, bring it in with you when you come into Hamilton for the Show. He will fix it up for you in doublequick time. Mr Veat’s repair depot and forge is situated in Ward Street, at the end of the first right-of-way on the right from Victoria Street.
