Cloudy and unsettled weather is indicated to-day and tomorrow with mild temperature, heavy rain and northerly winds prevailing. The Rainfall Rainfall for 48 hours ended 9 o'clock this morning. .24in. Rainfall for previous 24 hours, .07in. Rainfall for May to date, 3.66in. Average rainfall for May, 4.63in. Rainfall for year to date, 20.45in. Average yearly rainfall, 46.32in. BPECIAL FORECAST (By Govt. Meteorologist). The special forecatt by the Government Meteorologist covering the WalkatoThamcs Valley is as follows: Forecast: Light to moderate westerly winds prevailing and freshening at times. Weather cloudy to overcast with occasional rain but. improving to-morrow. Temperatures moderate to mild. Seas slight to moderate. General Inference: Pressure remains relatively high in northern latitudes but a slight depression is situated to the west of the Auckland Peninsula and a series of westerly depressions continues to pass in the south.
