DANCE AT CAMBRIDGE
COMING-OF-AGE CELEBRATED A number of her friends gathered at the home of Miss Audrey Suckling, Pukekura, Cambridge, on Saturday evening when she celebrated her coming-of-age with a jolly dance. Streamers and balloons in vivid colours decorated the rooms. A novel competition was won by Miss Kathleen Maingay, the winners of a novelty dance being Miss Jocelyn Rush and Mr W. Scott. After supper, Mr Peter Lewis proposed the health of the guest-of-honour. Mrs P. W. Suckling, wearing a frock of black lace was assisted In receiving the guests by Miss Suckling, who wore a frock of navy crepe-de-soie flowered in shades of blue and relieved with toning taffeta. Some of those present were:—Mrs J. R. Ranstead, Misses Josephine BaxUr, Joyce Lewis, Margaret Ccx, Joan Meredith, June Banks, Barbara Taylor, Jocelyn Rush, Heather Taylor, Heather Stewart (Hamilton). Audrey Savory, Kathleen Peake, Elfle Reid (Paihia), Millicent Martin, Kathleen and Molly Maingay (Te Aroha), M. Costley (Wellington), Molly Ambury and V. Catran.
